Didn't make it to the gym today, but I'd say I got a pretty good workout anyway. I spent the day geocaching with the family. We spent all afternoon at Sandy Springs walking and climbing and searching for caches. It was an absolute blast! It really got me out of my recent funk.
I think...only time will tell :)
Anyway, hope to make the gym again soon. I've reduced my butter intake to almost none and am drinking more water (when I remember). We'll see what happens!

Day 13: Back at the gym!
HI! I am no longer glued to the couch resting my back (though David would have it that way; he's so worried) and I finally made it into the gym this morning!
I did a full upper body workout trying to strengthen my arms and upper back so they can bear some of the load for my lower back, and did 25 minutes on the treadmill very lightly. I stopped when I started feeling that lovely back pain, but I wanted to keep going, so that's a good sign!
I also took my fat burner this morning. I love the energy it gives me while I am working out, but I hate the jitters I have afterward. My body wants to keep moving, but my back says, "hold still or I swear I will break in half right here!!" and I tend to believe that threat when yelled at me. At least, David believes it and makes me hold still. (This is where I need a very fancy tongue sticking out emote...let's find something that will work...)
Yeah, I think that pretty much covers it.
But I am feeling better and proud of myself for actually doing something. Next week I will take another photo and measurements. Hopefully I will be less squishy and more sexy than I was last round.
How are y'all doing (just in case someone is actually reading this. Doubtful.)? Keep me posted.

Day 5: Still Couch Bound
That's right, I'm still out of commission. We went to the hospital on the 23rd and they sent me home with Hydros and a muscle relaxer. It's a wonder I can even type right now.
I am so ready to get back into losing weight! I feel like a lump just lying here. Thank God for my wonderful family and friends who have been such a huge help!
Anyway, the eyelids are drooping. I'll touch base again soon and hopefully be back on my feet asap. See ya!

Day 2: Chair Bound
Jillian may have been a tad overkill last night. I am currently stuck in my chair unable to move because of the pain (excruciating) in my back.
Needless to say, I am not planning on doing much in the way of fitness today. Mostly Grey's Anatomy on Netflix, grab-and-eat food, and not much else happening in this house. Especially since my best friend just came and got both Elizabeth AND Gage to keep me from having to move any more than absolutely necessary. Best friend FOR A REASON, Emily. I truly love you.
I will try again tomorrow. Hopefully the owies will have subsided and I will be able to take another step toward sexy mommy me.

Day 1: A Perfect Start
This is me 7 months after having Elizabeth. I look more pregnant now than I did then! It has gotten to the point that I don't want to look in the mirror, and clothes make me angry. It's time to actually DO SOMETHING about it instead of whining to David every day and hearing him say, without fail, that he thinks I am beautiful no matter what.
Current weight: 220lbs. EEK!!! The scale grunts at me when I stand on it. Not good.
Goal weight: 130lbs.
Pounds to lose: 90lbs. Holy crap. That's almost a person. Bye-bye, butter. :'(
Apparently, it's safest to lose about 2lbs a week. That means it will be March of 2012 before I am at my goal weight if all goes well. In case you're not paying attention, that's almost an entire year, folks.
Crap.
Well, I will shoot for 2lbs a week and if I lose more than that I will just do happy dances. Sound good? Swell.
Measurements? Here we go:
Waist (at belly button) 48'' (oh my lord)
Hips (around butt) 46'' (keep breathing, Lili)
Upper arms: 15'' (No wonder they jiggle)
Thighs: 25'' (>.<)
There's seemingly no way to really set a goal to lose inches. Let's just say I want to look great naked and fit into my favorite jeans. We'll see how that goes.
I got off to a good start today. David and I went to Ijams Nature Center and hiked hilly areas for around 90 minutes! According to my Spark People tracker, that means I burned 1,107 calories today! I am planning to also do my Jillian Michaels DVD this evening. I'll let you know how that goes.
The plan is to report in with fitness updates every day, stick in an occasional "eating healthy" moment, and weigh/measure in once a week. Join me! Let's get skinny. It will be a lot easier if I have followers commenting, so use this excuse to go get new work-out clothes and work out with me! See you soon!
