Day 15: Hooray for Spring!

Didn't make it to the gym today, but I'd say I got a pretty good workout anyway. I spent the day geocaching with the family. We spent all afternoon at Sandy Springs walking and climbing and searching for caches. It was an absolute blast! It really got me out of my recent funk.

I think...only time will tell :)

Anyway, hope to make the gym again soon. I've reduced my butter intake to almost none and am drinking more water (when I remember). We'll see what happens!

Day 13: Back at the gym!

HI! I am no longer glued to the couch resting my back (though David would have it that way; he's so worried) and I finally made it into the gym this morning!

I did a full upper body workout trying to strengthen my arms and upper back so they can bear some of the load for my lower back, and did 25 minutes on the treadmill very lightly. I stopped when I started feeling that lovely back pain, but I wanted to keep going, so that's a good sign!

I also took my fat burner this morning. I love the energy it gives me while I am working out, but I hate the jitters I have afterward. My body wants to keep moving, but my back says, "hold still or I swear I will break in half right here!!" and I tend to believe that threat when yelled at me. At least, David believes it and makes me hold still. (This is where I need a very fancy tongue sticking out emote...let's find something that will work...)
Yeah, I think that pretty much covers it.

But I am feeling better and proud of myself for actually doing something. Next week I will take another photo and measurements. Hopefully I will be less squishy and more sexy than I was last round.

How are y'all doing (just in case someone is actually reading this. Doubtful.)? Keep me posted.
